Why did you choose Point Park University?
I chose Point Park because I absolutely loved the campus, professors and atmosphere. After auditioning for the acting program, I remember talking with the professors and then walking around campus thinking, 'This is where I need to be.'
What opportunities have you had through your major?
I’ve been in three Pittsburgh Playhouse productions and will be in two more this semester. I've also had the wonderful opportunity to direct a full-length play, "King Moonracer," last October which is the piece of work I am most proud of.
In what ways are you involved on campus?
I am a Pioneer Ambassador and President of the Feminist Collective. I am also in the Theatre Club and previously worked as a Resident Educator.
Where could we usually find you hanging out on campus?
I’m usually hanging out in my apartment or in Village Park if the weather is nice.
Pittsburgh is full of interesting neighborhoods. Where are the best places in the city to explore?
Point State Park, the Strip District, the South Side and the North Shore are some of my favorites. There are lots of areas to explore, and the best thing to do is to grab some friends and go for a walk around the city to discover what Pittsburgh has to offer!
Pamela's Diner or DeLuca's Diner?
What advice would you give to incoming students?
Get involved. It’s so true that you should get involved on campus but I really feel that it’s important for incoming students to form their own opinions. Every upperclassman, professor and administrator may have an opinion on all there is to do in Pittsburgh and at Point Park. Take what people say with a grain of salt and then see how you feel about it for yourself.
